Logline: While struggling to write her dissertation, a young Filipino grad student must reunite with her family following the death of her lola—and consequently face the truth she’s been kept in the dark from for so long.

*Notes on Ethnicity: The Philippines and Filipinos are essentially very diverse. That being said, we are open to individuals that may come from a mixed Filipino background but in a way that makes sense to our story/the history of the Philippines (i.e. actors who are mixed race and identify as Chinese-Filipino, Caucasian-Filipino, Spanish-Filipino, etc.). 

TITA CHERRY - Casting Details:

Tita Cherry 45-65 years old. An-over-the-top relative of Liezel’s. She wears designer clothes, talks too loud, and needs to make her presence known—especially at the funeral. Cherry might have emigrated to the US much later than other family members, as evidenced in the way she dresses and her thicker accent.

Tita Baby 45-65 years old. She is essentially a carbon copy of Cherry (Tita Cherry - She wears designer clothes, talks too loud, and needs to make her presence known—especially at the funeral), a rival to the spotlight.

TITO EJ - Casting Details:

Tito EJ 45-65 years old. Like Mike, he is part of the first generation of the family that emigrated to the US a few decades ago. However, unlike his petitioned cousins, he was able to get citizenship via the Military.

TITO MIKE - Casting Details:

Tito Mike 45-65 years old. He is part of the first generation of the family that emigrated to the US from PH during his early/young adulthood. Although he’s been in the US for a long time, his Filipino accent lingers, along with his heritage.
